"Research in Germany" - SME delegation trip to Boston and New York

Within the activities of its research marketing framework, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) attends at selected career and trade fairs in the USA under participation of research-intensive small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The European Career Fair (ECF), 25 February 2017, Boston, was selected as a pilot.

24 - 28 February 2017 | Boston and New York

In cooperation with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), a joint exhibition stand under the "Research in Germany" brand will give presentation options for two SMEs from Germany. With its participation, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) aims to open up the US research market for German SMEs, e.g. through the development of international cooperation opportunities, and, in a further step, to support SMEs in the recruitment of specialists in the US.

The European Career Fair is the largest European career fair in the US. European companies, universities and research institutes meet highly qualified graduates from top universities such as MIT, Yale and Harvard. The fair will be accompanied by an extensive supporting program with events in Boston and New York, for example, with the Consumers Consulates Boston and New York, the German Science and Innovation House New York, the German-American Chamber of Commerce and the initiative "German Accelerator". In this way, SMEs will be given further useful contacts to enter the US research market and to network with potential cooperation partners.
