Green Talents 2017 start their Science Forum tour

25 Green Talents from 21 different countries are now on their two-week Science Forum tour from 16-27 October 2017. This year´s focus is on 'Sustainable Production and Consumption' and leads them to different hot-spots of sustainability science in the South of Germany, including DFD, Fraunhofer ISE, IASS, KIT, TUM and VAUDE.

This offers the unique opportunity to get exclusive access to the country’s research landscape, learn about ground-breaking projects on-site and possibilities for cooperation with German experts and facilities.

During the second week, the awardees also have the chance to meet up with leading German experts of their choice. Individual appointments provide a platform to personally discuss their research and lay the foundations for future collaborations.

The tour finally ends in Berlin where the Green Talents Award will be presented to the awardees for the ninth time during a festive ceremony on 27 October 2017.

The tour includes visits to:

  1. Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT Karlsruhe)
  2. Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE an der Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg (Fraunhofer ISE)
  3. VAUDE inTettnang am Bodensee
  4. Deutsches Fernerkundungsdatenzentrum (DFD) in Oberpfaffenhofen
  5. Technische Universität München, Wissenschaftszentrum Weihenstephan (TUM) in Freising
  6. Institut für transformative Nachhaltigkeitsforschung (IASS) in Potsdam
